What is Recovery Monitoring Mode?
EQ has a specific mode to help track your recovery from injury. When in this mode, you will be given a symptom survey (Post-Concussion Symptom Scale) on every check-in and can record notes from doctor visits (e.g. diagnosis, return-to-play decisions).
To enter recovery monitoring: After doing a Post-Incident Test, you will see a banner on your home screen that allows you to input your diagnosis and select to have EQ track your recovery. You can also automatically enter into recovery monitoring mode by going to your Account tab and switching the tab to on.
To exit recovery monitoring: You will stay in recovery monitoring mode until you tell EQ that you have been cleared to return to play. This can be done by clicking on the banner on the home screen and editing the status or by going to your Account tab and turn the tab off.
For patients using EQ for the first time:You will need to enter Recovery Monitoring. Start by taking a Post-Incident Test. Once you have completed the test, select the banner on your home screen to ‘Let EQ track your recovery.’
When can I use EQ to monitor my recovery?
While the most recent evidence and consensus among experts suggests that active rehabilitation (which includes screen-based activity like EQ) may begin 2 - 3 days after injury, the injury and therapy are highly variable, so it is best to check with your doctor.
